Thankfully, the weather for Memorial Day weekend turned out to be beautiful so that the kids could finally play with all of their new outdoor toys that they were given for their birthday! We spent as much time outside as we could all weekend...
| Playing in their new house from Nanna, Papa, Uncle Tommy & Aunt Kara |
| Of course they have to climb over the table |
| Look at this hiding spot! |
| Just mowing the grass with the mower from Meme and Poppy |
| Keepin' cool in the water table from Mommy and Daddy |
| Ava would rather have a mower than a doll in her hand! |
| Can you tell they don't like hot weather! |
| Water break! |
| Joe showing Gavin how to use the blower from Carolyn, John and Tim |
| Splashin'! |
| Hineys! |
| Make believe horse! |
| This would be Gavin finding a different use for the bucket! |
| Our new seesaw from Meme and Poppy! |
For Memorial Day, since we are close enough we attend Joe's hometown, Cold Spring's, parade...
| On our way to the parade |
| Ready for the parade to start! |
| Sadie and Uncle Tommy |
| Brody |
| Anxiously waiting for the firetrucks! |
| And here they come! |
Though we have not had to endure the loss of anyone very close to our family during this time of war, we have watched other families go through times of mourning. I hope that everyone remembers that Memorial Day is not just the start of summer with cookouts, parades and a day off of school but a time to think about all of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we can have the freedom to be able to enjoy those things. Thank you to all the family, friends and service members that represent this freedom every day including my husband who is my real life hero!
