7 Months Old!

Though it's been a couple weeks (sorry), Emma is 7 almost 8 months old!  She is sitting up by herself, scooting backwards on her belly and talking up a storm!  Still no teeth but she sure is drooling and gnawing away on those fingers!  She is entertained daily by her siblings and loves to laugh at them.  She's eating pureed fruits, veges and meats at dinner and will be going to two meals a day starting next week.  Emma is such a loving baby that loves to snuggle and be around people!

YES! She has red hair!

Check out those rolls!

Daddy's way of babysitting! She loved it!

Happy Easter!

Yet another holiday that was much more fun this year because the kids are finally getting to that age where they understand it!  Though we enjoyed this year, it'll be so much fun next year when we get to go back to our very favorite church in North Carolina and truly celebrate the holiday.

They started the weekend off with egg dying:

Got this idea off of Pinterest...bake your eggs in the oven at 300 for 30 minutes to hard boil them!
Then the kids enjoyed some Easter baskets from Meme and Poppy:

We ventured to the mall on Saturday and "attempted" to see the Easter Bunny!  The kids were so excited to see him until we actually got the opportunity to sit on his lap!  Ava and Gavin wouldn't go near him without being able to sit in kids chairs that they had for them.  I wish I could have purchased all of the pictures because by the fifth picture Ava was standing up running away!

They went on an Easter Egg Hunt and of course Ava got the most eggs because Gavin and Brayden would rather stop and open each one as they find them!

Of course the Easter Bunny visited them on Sunday with some pretty fun baskets of goodies:

Sunday evening we enjoyed a nice steak dinner at Joe's families house and the kids got to go on another Egg Hunt!

And they got some more great baskets from Nanna, Papa, Aunt Jen, Aunt Kara and Uncle Tommy:

We even got a visit from the Amato family!

Cousins just 2 1/2 months apart!

Spring Break in Virginia Beach

We headed down South to Virginia Beach for a few days to get away from the cold and soak up some much needed Vitamin D for Spring Break this year.  The kids are at a really fun age now to take them to Children's Museums so we went to the Portsmouth Children's Museum while there.  What an AMAZING place! If you are ever in that area I would HIGHLY recommend going there.  We were there all day without naps and our kids didn't even notice with all there was to do there!

Of course the train exhibit was a huge hit:

To go along with the transportation theme, they had an old tugboat that you could "fish" off of, a real firetruck that you could play in and fake fires that they could pretend to put out with a water hose!

There were so many different themes like grocery stores, vets, building and dentists.

Of course Joe had to check out the Dog House

And Brayden was waiting for him on the other side

We also left the kids with my parents for a couple days and went down to our next assignment to look for a house...we had the intentions of renting but ended up coming by as house OWNERS instead...couldn't beat the deal that we found! So we're really excited to be moving into this new beautiful home with a GIANT backyard in May!
