There's a great website out there called Multiples and More and they have featured bloggers every week. I was fortunate enough to be the featured blogger this week. Here's the link to my interview:

Read your comment about picky eaters and we're going through the same thing! Funky textures and meat are consistently a no-go. I actually borrowed your idea of veggie burgers, but it only worked for two meals. Anyway, we're currently trying vegetarian corn dog nuggets and mixed vegetables, but aren't having much luck. Anyway, my boys regularly enjoy...

-tortellini with tomato sauce
-french toast sticks
-fig newtons
-english muffin pizza
-zucchini bread (made with whole wheat flour, agave nectar, wheat germ and flax seed) -scrambled eggs
-blueberries
-sandwiches (chicken salad, tuna, peanut butter, sunflower butter, cream cheese and fruit spread, pimento cheese, etc.)
-rice pudding
Not sure if you've ever checked out www.weelicious.com but it offers some great ideas! I'm always trying to think of new things to add to the kids' menu.

Krissy...OMG, thank you so much for all those great ideas! I think I have a menu planned for the next week now! And I'm definitely going to check out that website. Thanks again for the words of encouragement!
ReplyDeleteGreat interview Gayla!! It's so exciting to see how much your blog (and experiences) are getting around. About the eating ~ Gavin is SUCH a picky eater too! It's driving me cRaZYyyyyy!! Meats and textures, definitely a problem. One little trick I've found for him though is he loves sandwiches. It seems if I stick it between two pieces of bread he'll eat it. I've been buying rotisserie chickens, shredding them up and mixing with mayo for a homemade chicken salad sandwich and he gobbles it up. That way he's also getting light AND dark meat which of course has so much flavor and nutrients like iron; way tastier than the stuff in the can ;) ps. I'm totally gonna check out that website mentioned above too!
