Daddy Time!

The kids (and I) have been thoroughly enjoying Joe being home. The weather has been gorgeous so we've been spending a lot of time doing things outside. While Joe was gone there were specific things that the kids said they wanted to do when "Daddy got home". So we've been crossing some of those things off the list. First thing was to go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast!

Getting Dunkin' Doughnuts was another hot topic for when Daddy got home and they just HAD to go get the doughnuts in Daddy's Jeep!

 

They have been wanting to fly kites the entire time Joe was gone so we finally had the opportunity on Saturday with some great wind.  So we loaded up and headed to the soccer complex! Of course Gavin decided to "dissect" his kite and pull off the tails.  Joe had to be creative in order to get it to fly, but it finally worked!

 The dogs have thoroughly enjoyed having Daddy home too!!

Sunday was another beautiful day and perfect to head to the Aloha Zoo.  It's a small local zoo that rescues animals but it had some great things there.  We'll definitely be visiting there often.  We even packed a lunch and had a picnic while there!

We're having so much fun with Daddy home and have been blessed with gorgeous weather to enjoy a lot of outdoor activities.  We have another busy weekend full of Spring Flings at school, Joe's Brigade Easter Egg Hunt and finally getting to go to our amazing church again on Sunday!!
