What's Been Goin' On

Sorry, I've been slacking on blog posts lately.  Honestly, nothing too exciting going on around here.  One disadvantage to living up north is that when it's cold outside...it's really cold so it's hard for us to do any activities outdoors!  We've been trying to continue taking our daily walks around the neighborhood but it's either been raining or snowing here so the playground has been soaking wet unfortunately.  So I've been trying to take a few pictures of the trio being cute around the house:

Ava still thinks she's still tiny!

Brody doing what he does best!

Books and Diapers!

Watching Baby Genius

Brayden REALLY loves Baby Genius...

...and pizza!

Having a little reading "chill out" time!

One thing that has kept us on our toes lately is the fact that Ava and Gavin have figured out how to climb out of their cribs!  This was my worst nightmare and of course it came true sooner than expected!  Ava was the first to actually climb out and then Gavin followed behind.  Now it's a regular thing every nap and every morning so we decided to order toddler beds last week and start the transition next week into the beds!  So we've been keeping busy trying to baby proof their room (closet, windows, camera wires, etc.)  I'll definitely be posting about the transition throughout! And of course any suggestions of those that have already been there done that I would love!

Gavin about to take the plunge and Ava catchin' some air!

Now it's Ava's turn to take the plunge first (notice how they empty out their cribs first to give them some cushion)!
We're planning on starting the transition on Tuesday so I'll be sure to blog about it!!! Have a great weekend!

  1. Oh I can't wait to hear how this goes! My boys climbed out at 20 months and I was so not ready for toddler beds, so we've been using crib tents (we call them forts:)). So far so good! Good luck next week.
