Amato/Jehl Wedding Festivities

We have been very busy with bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, birthdays etc.  But the most recent celebration was the Amato/Jehl Wedding Weekend.  For those of you that don't know, Jeff Amato is Joe's first cousin and Kristen Jehl and I went to college/played field hockey and lacrosse together as well as lived together after we graduated down at the beach.  After Joe and I started dating back in 2006, his cousin needed a date to a wedding up in NY.  Immediately we thought of Kristen, so Jeff and some of the other guys drove down to Va. Beach to meet Kristen and enjoy the beach life with us for a weekend.  They immediately enjoyed one another's company and began dating long distance until Kristen was done with her graduate degree.  Kristen then moved up to NY with Jeff to be closer.  They got engaged a year and a half ago down at the beach when Joe and I were vacationing down there.  So we definitely feel like we've been a part of their special memories for a few years now!

Joe and I both were in their bridal party so we had a busy weekend with lots of pre wedding festivities.  My parents came into town on Friday to watch the babies for us since Joe's family would also be a part of the wedding festivities!  Friday, Kristen and Jeff had a cookout at their house for any guests that were in town.  On Saturday all the girls were pampered at the nail salon and then we had a lingerie/luncheon with the girls and Kristen.

We then had the rehearsal down at the dock where the ceremony would be followed with the rehearsal dinner.  A good friend of the family decided to challenge me by telling me that I was too old to drink so the night was a bit of a blur for me!!
YES, we have more goofy pictures than normal ones!!

The next ones to get married in August! Rich and Katie!
The big day was on Sunday so we started the day with hair and makeup while the guys worked on decorations.  The ceremony was on the dock at Bear Mountain State Park and was absolutely beautiful!!  The reception followed at the lodge at the park in a beautiful ball room.
