Our Pea Pod: 4 Month Update!

Can you believe it!? Ava, Gavin, and Brayden are already four months old! It seems like yesterday that we were driving back and forth to the NICU to see our little ones! We had our four month well visit last week along with, UGH, their vaccinations. This time Joe held one of them at a time while they got their shots and then passed them off to me to console. Unfortunately, on this particular day Joe was tasked at work to go to NJ for an assignment for 2 days where he had to spend the night. So I was left with three cranky babies. Thankfully my sister in law, Jen, came over and helped me out!

The babies weights:

Ava: 12 lb 5 oz
Gavin: 12 lb
Brayden: 11 lb 7 oz

They're already in a size 2 diaper too! So that you can see the difference from their two month check up here's pictures comparing them:

The pediatrician said they all look really good and are growing beautifully. He also said that we could begin feeding them some solids. We're starting with rice cereal and then we'll move to oatmeal. Since it's apple season we went to an apple orchard and loaded up on apples so I could make apple sauce to freeze. We worked out the cost of everything and it's much less expensive to make their baby food rather than buy it! So the adventure began and ended with some good looking baby food!

The pediatrician also thinks that Gavin's flat spot will start to disappear the more he's on his belly in the next few months so hopefully he won't have to get a cranial band to fix it. I always watch that show "Quints By Surprise" on TLC and their son had to wear a band for 7 months! I pray that Gavin doesn't have to wear one.
